The state of Tennessee has given America two Music Cities…. Memphis And Nashville! On Saturday night, we’ll walk through Memphis and listen to its music and artists. Memphis music is a combination of Blues, Rhythm and Blues, cross over country, and mainstream pop. We’ll hear such artists as the late great BJ THOMAS, and THE HIGHWAY MEN. They consist of these Country Music Giants…WILLIE, JOHNNY, WAYLON, and KRISTOFFERSON. Also, believe it or not, Memphis gave us ISAAC HAYES, THE BOX TOPS, and DUSTY SPRINGFIELD…and tonight we’ll play them all! Oh yes don’t worry, we didn’t forget the king of Memphis, ELVIS, he’ll join as well!

Then we’ll get a call from two country icons, MICKEY GILLEY AND JOHNNY LEE! We’ll talk of their huge million selling Country hits “Looking For Love” by Johnny Lee and “Stand By Me” by Mickey Gilley. Those two mega-hits made Urban Cowboy’s film score a multi-million selling album to a Gold and platinum success, and helped catapult their careers as well as the film’s acting career of the great JOHN TRAVOLTA as the Urban Cowboy by breaking all box office records.

Then, we’ll all drive North East to Tennessee’s music city…Nashville! We’ll explore the works of some of country musics biggest singers and some of the greatest country records ever made. Nashville icons like KENNY ROGERS, DOLLY PARTON, GEORGE JONES, KEITH URBAN, CHRIS STAPLETON, ALAN JACKSON, SAMMY KERSHAW, BIG AND RICH, and of course the biggest selling Country artist of all time, the incredible GARTH BROOKS.

So get on our tour bus and take the ride from Memphis to Nashville this Saturday Night, right here on New York City’s most iconic radio station, 77 WABC!
