BRIAN HYLAND will headline a show at the Carteret Performing Arts Center on Saturday, October 29, 2022. He will be joined by – Dennis Tufano (Buckinghams), Chris Montez, The Capris, The Happenings and the Fireflies.
Brian Hyland will visit us this Saturday 10/15/22. The Cuz and Brian have been friends since that “ girl was afraid to come out of the locker.” In 1960 Brian helped change the direction of Pop Rock & Roll.” His number one NoviRocker “Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini” topped almost every music chart worldwide. It was 1960 – we all needed something to make us smile. The United States sent troops to Viet Nam and entered the War. The IRA started it’s fight against the British and Soviet Russia shot down a US U2 Spy plane and captured the pilot (Francis Gary Powers). In Cuba, Fidel Castro nationalized American Oil and Sugar interests.. The Cold War was getting Hotter. So, Brian Hyland’s Teenie Bikini hit the beach just at the right time. We will talk about this and his other hits: “Sealed With A Kiss”, “Ginny Come Lately”, “Gypsy Woman” and “The Joker Went Wild” during our visit with Brian.
