A whole month later, Def Leppard Drummer Rick Allen is finally giving fans an update on his health following the attack that took place outside of his hotel.
Allen took to his social media platforms on Friday (April 21st) to let fans know that he was currently “still recovering” following the horrifying incident.
The famed drummer posted a photo of himself with a caption that reads:
“Thank you all so very much for all of your love and support over the last month. I am still recovering and getting my mind and body ready for the upcoming Def Leppard tour. Just wanted to say hi and let you know, There Will Be Rock!”
On March 13th, Allen went outside for a smoke break outside of the Four Seasons Hotel on Fort Lauderdale Beach when a 19-year-old male slammed Allen’s head into the ground causing injury. The assailant has since been arrested and is being faced with charges of abuse to an elderly or disabled adult without great harm.
We hope Rick continues to recover quickly!
