Prince To Be Honored With A Special Highway Sign

5-5-prince

The legendary Prince will officially have a highway named after him in his home state of Minnesota!

According to reports, Minnesota lawmakers voted on Thursday (May 4) for the highway naming to be greenlighted in their state. The senate vote was 55-5 to rename the highway that reportedly runs past Prince’s Paisley Park museum and studios. The bill passed the house unanimously last month on the seventh anniversary of the singer’s death.

It has also been said that their will be purple signs going up seven-mile stretch of State Highway 5 and will have the official name of Prince Rogers Nelson Memorial Highway.

Paisley Park is where Prince lived and recorded, and it is where he tragically passed away April 21, 2016 following an accidental fentanyl overdose at the age of 57.
