Hello my friends!
I had the honor of performing at Epcot’s International Flower & Garden Festival as part of the “Garden Rocks” Concert Series two weeks ago, and it brought me the idea to do “The Music Greatness Of Disney” on the show this weekend! That’s right, the Disney music & classics all sung by PEABO BRYSON, JAMES INGRAM, CELINE DION, LINDA RONSTADT, ELTON JOHN, PHIL COLLINS, STEVIE WONDER, RASCAL FLATTS…just to name a few on this Saturday Night’s show!
And we add to that, recording artist, actress, superstar, and one of Disney’s greatest television stars of all time, RAVEN-SYMONÈ, of the massive hit show “THAT’S SO RAVEN” to the list!!! RAVEN is currently the star AND executive producer/director of her own newest hit Disney series “RAVEN’S HOME”, the spinoff to “THAT’S SO RAVEN”!
And we will never forget RAVEN as the 3 year old child star playing “Olivia” on “THE COSBY SHOW”, and “Nicole Lee” on “HANGIN’ WITH MR. COOPER”! RAVEN has brought with her, just over 3 decades, of audiences who now still revere her in their memories with massive hit Disney movies she starred in such as “THE CHEETAH GIRLS” & “THE CHEETAH GIRLS 2”, and now they watch her with their own children on her current Disney show “RAVEN’S HOME”.
RAVEN also co-hosted “THE VIEW” for 5 years! It’s amazing because RAVEN is a very young woman, only in her 30’s! What a career! And considered one of the greatest comedic actresses EVER! Whether it be on her own show, or co-starring with EDDIE MURPHY in the classic “DR. DOLITTLE” movies, the world loves RAVEN! Plus, we’ll hear some of the great records she made that were all huge hits from her Disney days!!
I am so proud to have her as my guest this week, an Emmy Award winner, and is among the VH1 100 Greatest Child Stars Of All Time! Now, RAVEN just launched her brand-new podcast “The Best Podcast Ever” with her lovely First Lady, Miranda, streaming now on Spotify, Apple, and iHeart! I’m so proud to say RAVEN is like a daughter to me! Also, we did not stop there… I decided to call one of my best friends, LARRY THE CABLE GUY, as he has been a super great part of the Disney legacy by playing and voicing the iconic and lovable tow-truck character “MATER” in Disney’s hit film “CARS”, and just like RAVEN…he is family to me…a brother for sure!!
So, “That’s So Raven” to “That’s So Mater”, mixed in with the greatest Disney music classics from “THE LION KING” to “FROZEN”, to “BEAUTY & THE BEAST“ makes for a “That’s So Disney Show“, THIS Saturday night…Right here on Music Radio 77 WABC!
