Welcome back Gary Puckett.
Gary was the founding member of “The Union Gap”. He was born in Hibbing, MN and grew up in Yakima, Washington and began playing guitar as a teen.
He dropped out of college to pursue a musical career – playing with several local bands. “The Union Gap” was formed in 1966 by Gary and several members of the local groups that played together. They met producer- performer Jerry Fuller who helped the band get a recording contract with Columbia Records. And the “Hits Kept On Coming” – “Woman Woman”, “Young Girl”, “Lady Willpower” and “This Girl Is a Woman Now”. The group wore unique costumes that were worn by the US Army during the American Civil War. Gary continues to perform nationally and internationally and remains an audience favorite…..and we have a surprise- Gary just recorded a beautiful new song (“Pretend”) – I’ll play it for you this Saturday.
