This is Francis Albert with two of the most talented people, ever – in all of music, Ella Fitzgerald and Antonio Carlos Jobim.
Mr. S. had Lady Ella star on the Frank Sinatra shows of the 1950’s.
The Chairman had immense respect for Ella Fitzgerald and it is highlighted beautifully in this one of a kind 1967 TV Special.
You do not want to miss Frank Sinatra and Ella performing duets and ‘riffing’ some very cute dialogue.
The Nelson Riddle Orchestra under the direction of Mr. Riddle himself, is at peak form – swingin’ with brilliant brash and perfect precision.
This special also stars the legendary, Antonio Carlos Jobim.
Jobim was the father of the Bossa Nova/Jazz sound.
The Claus Ogerman arrangement of the Mr. S. and ‘Tom Jobim’ duets is music and television at its very best.
