Pro-Palestinian Protesters Disrupt Evening Commute

(New York, NY) – Hundreds of Pro-Palestinian protesters disrupted the evening commute on Monday night in New York City. The group first gathered inside of Grand Central Terminal, but eventually left, and made their way west along 42nd Street. At one point the group stopped in front of the New York Times building, directly across the street from Port Authority Bus Terminal. It seemed the group’s goal was to disrupt the commute during rush hour, on what is one of the year’s busiest travel weeks.

Eventually, the group made its way south to Penn Station New York. There were dozens who occupied Moynihan Train Hall, which is to the west of the NJ Transit and Amtrak ticketing area, and mostly services the Long Island Rail Road. At one point, actor Alec Baldwin got into a dispute with some of the protesters. They accused him of supporting genocide and called him a Zionist, while a group of NYPD officers escorted him to safety.
