Taylor Swift has proven once again that we are witnessing a legend right in front of our eyes.
The Grammy Awards took place in Los Angeles last night – and in the midst of all the chaos & drama at the night’s event, multi- award winning superstar Taylor Swift has added yet another award to her repertoire; and this one is by far her biggest achievement.
Swift won the Grammy for Album of The Year with her LP “Midnights”. While this is already an impressive feat, this is the fourth AOTY Grammy Award she has received in her career.
This makes the “Anti-Hero” singer/songwriter the only artist in music history to win more than three AOTY Grammys! Before her record breaking win, Swift has a tied record with the legendary Frank Sinatra, Paul Simon, and Stevie Wonder after winning the prestigious award for her previous albums Fearless, 1989, and Folklore.
Swift also took the history making win over an impressive lineup of nominees:
Lana Del Rey, Jon Batiste, boygenius, Miley Cyrus, Janelle Monáe, Olivia Rodrigo and SZA.
This wasn’t Swift’s only award of the night, as she also secured a win in best pop vocal album category for “Midnights”- and during her speech she managed to send Swifties into even more of a tizzy with the announcement of her 11th Studio Album Tortured Poets Department” out on April 19th!
Whether or not you enjoy Swift’s music catalog, it is hard to ignore her history making career and accomplishments as a singer & songwriter and we can’t wait to see how she continues to progress as time goes on.
