This Saturday Night’s Special Guest Is Don Dannemann of “The Cyrkle”!

3-13-cousin-brucie-article

Many of us thought that THE CYRKLE was a British band – nope – they were an American Rock band from Pennsylvania.

They were formed in the 1960’s and were managed by Brian Epstein (as in the Beatles).

The Cyrkle opened for the Beatles during their US tour and became very popular. According to Rock & Roll mythology, John Lennon came up with the name and the spelling of Cyrkle.

They disbanded in 1968 and reunited in 2016 and continue performing today. Two of the members Tom Dawes and Don Dannemann wrote commercial jingles for the American market including – Alka Selter’s Plop, Plop, Fizz Fizz and for airlines and food companies. Their hits are very recognizable- “Red Rubber Ball” and “Turn Down Day”.

Cousins, we welcome The Cyrkle’s DON DANNEMANN to WABC MusicRadio this Saturday 3/16/24.

The Cyrkle’s legacy lives on!
