We’re So Much In Love with our Special guests this week -THE TYMES.
We celebrate their Doo Wop and their distinct Soul Sound. They originated in Philadelphia in 1956 -originally called The Latineers. The group was discovered at a local talent show and signed a recording contract.
Their breakout hit “So Much In Love” (1963) topped the charts and featured their smooth harmonies . This was followed by another chart topper: ”Wonderful Wonderful” and “Somewhere”.
“So Much In Love” not only sold a million records but also left a lasting legacy in the world of pop and doo-wop music. They were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2005.
