Hello Cousins!
When THE RASCALS arrived in Hawaii in 1966 it was love at first flight. That appearance for the band was very special – and never forgotten.
In August of 2023 a devastating fire destroyed lives and homes on Maui – FELIX CAVALIERE co-founder of the Rascals, has teamed up with country icon DOLLY PARTIN to re-record the Rascals 1968 song “My Hawaii”. 100% of the proceeds from record sales will go to the Maui United Way – Maui Fire Disaster Relief Fund – this will provide direct financial assistance to community members who experienced loss and devastation from the fires in Lahaina and Kula.
Felix said that “This song is a token of love and gratitude to the people of Hawaii, especially Maui.”
With No. 1 songs like “Good Lovin’”, “Groovin’”, “A Beautiful Morning”, “I’ve Been Lonely Too Long”, “People Got To Be Free” and “How Can I Be Sure”, The Rascals are considered the best ‘blue-eyed soul’ group to come out of the 1960s.
Making people feel good is fundamental to Felix’s illustrious career that includes the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriter Hall of Fame, Vocal Group Hall of Fame, Grammy Hall of Fame and Musicians Hall of Fame.
Join the Cuz this Saturday (10/5/24) and let’s once again welcome our good friend Felix Cavaliere.
