ROCK & ROLL CALL
Jerome Anthony “Little Anthony” Gourdine, born in Brooklyn, New York, is a founding member of the legendary group Little Anthony and the Imperials. His musical journey began in high school with the doo-wop group The Duponts, this group became The Chesters, (now follow me)…..which later became The Imperials.
Little Anthony and the Imperials rise to fame was quick – with hits like “Tears on My Pillow” and “Shimmy, Shimmy, Ko-Ko-Bop” in the late 1950s. He briefly pursued a solo career in 1961 but rejoined The Imperials in 1963, achieving further success with songs like “Goin’ Out of My Head” and “Hurt So Bad”. The group’s ability to transition seamlessly from doo-wop to soul and pop earned them their place in music history. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.
Little Anthony continues his legacy and his musical journey as a beloved and iconic performer.
The Cuz welcomes Little Anthony to MusicRadio – Cousins, visit with us on Saturday 3/8/25.
