Our guest this week is HELEN SCOTT – an original member of the Philadelphia female trio The Three Degrees.
Known for their silky harmonies, coordinated stage presence, and versatility, the Three Degrees have become one of the longest-performing female groups in music history—spanning more than six decades.
As with many groups there have been several lineup changes, but The Three Degrees continue to delight audiences with their silky harmonies, memorable melodies, and glamorous legacy.
Their major hit, “When Will I See You Again” became an international smash and they are also featured as lead vocalists on MFSB’s “TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia),” which topped the US charts and became the Soul Train TV theme.
Helen Scott remains the group’s anchor alongside newer members, and their influence on soul, disco, and popular music remains undiminished.
