Hello friends ,
Just a couple of weeks ago, the music industry and the music loving public lost a silent giant Silent, only in terms of what is considered public fame. See, STEVE CROPPER never had a hit as a singer, but did as a songwriter for some of the Greats .such as OTIS REDDINGS “(Sittin’ On) Dock of the Bay”, WILSON PICKETT’S “Midnight Hour”, or SAM and DAVES “Soul Man”….they are the original BLUES BROTHERS! What a giant STEVE CROPPER was. And this Saturday night, we pay tribute to that one great “Soul man”, STEVE CROPPER, as we take a walk through his Music and walk through his Memphis!
STEVE CROPPER was so recognized and respected that he was in the BLUES BROTHERS movie starring BELUSHIi and AYKROYD, and they as a grateful thanks to STEVE CROPPER, had him play himself in that iconic film and be the main guitar playing songwriting genius that he was by leading the BLUES BROTHERS BAND for them in that historical film “The Blues Brothers”!
Yes, this Saturday night we replay an awesome interview we did with STEVE, and take a soulful walk through Memphis as we thank and pay tribute to the Soul Man of Memphis himself….the
Great (RIP) STEVE CROPPER!!
