JOHN and THE SPOONFUL were all inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the year 2000. He wrote iconic hit songs of the 60’s such as “What a Day for a Daydream,” “Darling Be Home Soon,” “Summer in the City,” and the unforgettable theme from the TV series Welcome Back, Kotter, entitled simply “Welcome Back.”
