Our guest this week is. Gary Puckett (Gary Puckett and the Union Gap). They were one of the most successful pop acts of the late 1960s, known for Gary Puckett’s powerful baritone voice and a run of chart hits that made them dominate on AM radio. .
Their best-known songs include “Woman, Woman,” “Young Girl,” “Lady Willpower,” “Over You” and “This Girl Is A Woman Now”. Their Civil War-era uniforms gave them a distinctive visual identity as well as their recognizable sound.
The group formed in 1967, first performing as Gary and the Remarkables before adopting the Union Gap name. They soon caught the attention of producer Jerry Fuller, who helped launch their career.
Gary Puckett continues to tour nationally and internationally.
He resides in Clearwater, Florida, with his wife, and regularly performs on nostalgia tours such as the “Happy Together Tour”. Gary has appeared with the Cuz at PNC and his music is a steady favorite on MusicRadio.
