Hello everyone!
How many times have you heard someone say, “I just had me a good cry.” or “Go and have yourself a good cry!” A GOOD CRY is a God given tool to cleanse your heart and soul. And so often a song can give us the cleanser we need to do so. Well, on Saturday night we will play some of the great “good cry” songs of all time! Added by having two of my friends as my guests.
The great, great singer-songwriter BILLY VERA, and Doo-Wop icon, LARRY CHANCE. Billy and Larry are best friends. They got together with the most creative production of the BEN E. KING song “Stand By Me” you’ll ever hear! Also, we play Billy’s hits “Storybook Children”, a duet with JUDY CLAY, and the award winning hit record “At This Moment”…Which many of us in the business of making records coined Vera’s vocal performance one of the most soulful EVER recorded, and it was a live recording that went to the very top of the charts …very unusual!
And of course what more can we say about LARRY CHANCE, lead singer of THE EARLS iconic Doo-Wop Hall of Fame hit “Remember Then“.
