After three years of conceiving themes and ideas for this radio show, this idea truly intrigued me because I, myself, had hits in the early 60’s as a solo recording artist, but I had even greater success when I recorded as a group….TONY ORLANDO & DAWN!
Then, I thought…how to do it in reverse, how many leave a band? Or a singing group? And how many of them went on to have even greater more incredible careers!
It turns out to be a remarkable amount of performers who had major hits with their band or groups and then went solo and had even greater success found, and superstardom when they went out on their own! I think you too will be amazed!!
