Hey Cousins!
Tommy James will visit us this Saturday. His national concert tours, radio show,
his new movie, recording and writing have kept him extremely busy.
Tommy was at a Chicago radio station for a concert. The radio station played an unfinished version of “Crimson and Clover” – it was an instant hit. Tommy and The Shondells had two follow-up hits that topped the charts. “Sweet Cherry Wine” and “Crystal Blue Persuasion” that were both co-written by Tommy.
They were so successful that they were invited by Producer Artie Kornfeld to perform at a pig farm upstate. “There’s gonna be a lot of people at this concert.” Tommy was in Hawaii at the time and suggested that they should start without him. He wasn’t interested in a pig farm concert. That “pig farm” concert turned out to be – W O O D S T O C K !
We will talk about the pig farm concert and and many other things with Tommy James – so join the Cuz this Saturday on MusicRadio WABC.
