Happy 2025, everybody!
Hard to believe that my Saturday night Radio show here on Music Radio 77WABC, is beginning its fifth year broadcasting from the biggest radio market in the country….New York City!! Also streaming to all of America, and also can be heard in 173 countries around the world!!! AMAZING!
Many thanks to MARGO and JOHN CATSIMATIDIS, owners of this iconic, historical radio station for having the vision to buy it, save it, and then make it the number one radio station in the Big Red Apple! Bringing together both talk radio on weekdays, and then music relief on the weekends, with music shows like “Saturday Nights With Tony Orlando”….ooops, that’s me, LOL!!
And having me follow a radio LEGEND in the name of COUSIN BRUCIE’S “Rock & Roll Party”, hosted by my great friend BRUCE MORROW, a literal music radio KING !!!And then “Sundays With Sinatra”, hosted by the great JOE PISCOPO!!! And let’s not forget the young and super-talented, VINNIE MEDUGNO Show!!!
So, I thought with all of that…what theme or concept show should I do? Hmmm…show….number one…..I’ve got it!!! Songs that never made number one on show number one of 2025! You ask why? Not play number one songs instead of songs that never made number one on the charts… Well, here’s why!
When you hear what hits never made Number One… Your head will explode in astonishment! You will shout “No way!!!
That never made number one?”… “MICHAEL JACKSON’S ‘Thriller’!!! Are you kidding me…WOW!!!”
So, make it the “number-one” thing to do this Saturday night…
