ROCK & ROLL CALL

The VOGUES came from Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh, they formed in 1958 and were originally called The Val-Aires. The group’s lineup included Bill Burkette (lead baritone), Don Miller (baritone), Hugh Geyer (first tenor), and Chuck Blasko (second tenor). Their breakthrough came with “You’re the One,”(1965) written by Petula Clark and reached number four on the charts. Other major hits included: “Five O’Clock World,” “Magic Town,” “My Special Angel,” and “Turn Around, Look at Me”.

Our visitor this week is CHUCK BLASKO an original Vogue member who still performs and keeps the memories alive.

The Vogues were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2001.

Welcome Chuck Blasko to MusicRadio Saturday 5/24/25.
