ROCK & ROLL CALL 📞📞☎️
“You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling” is considered to be one of the greatest Rock & Roll recordings ever produced. The Righteous Brothers, formed by Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield in 1963, were originally part of a five-member group called The Paramours.
After the group broke up, Bill and Bobby were performing at a Marine Base in California. An audience member shouted, “That was righteous, brothers!” after their set — The Righteous Brothers were born.
Bill Medley’s rich baritone combined perfectly with Bobby Hatfield’s tenor — igniting their blue-eyed soul career.
“You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling” was produced for The Righteous Brothers by Phil Spector in 1964, followed by several other hits, including:
“Unchained Melody”
“You’re My Soul and Inspiration”
“Ebb Tide”
“Rock and Roll Heaven”
Bill Medley achieved solo success with the Grammy-winning duet “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” with Jennifer Warnes. He also wrote a successful memoir, The Time of My Life.
The Righteous Brothers have earned their place in Rock & Roll history.
BILL MEDLEY will be our guest this Saturday 7/19/25.
Join The Cuz and let’s welcome Bill to Music Radio.
