It is an amazing feat to pitch a no hitter in Baseball, right? That’s 27 outs in a row, right? But throwing a one hitter which is 26 outs in a row, is passed by as ho hum. Well, this Saturday night, we pay tribute to those artists who have thrown a “one hitter”, because a “one hitter” in the record industry is equivalent to a no hitter in Baseball… In fact, a no hitter in the record biz is a bad dream come true! So, this Saturday night, let’s give respect to these great artist who pitched their one hitters for us to enjoy in our lifetime! You see,
I hate the phrase “one hit wonders”…I find it insulting. But, this Saturday night, we honor those who gave us great music and great memorable
hits even if it was their one and only hit .Examples “Escape (The Piña Colada Song)” by RUPERT HOLMES… legendary for sure!
Or how about “In The Summertime” by the artist MUNGO JERRY…Unforgettable? Without a doubt!!! And one of my favorite one hitters
of all time is … “Steal Away” by ROBBIE DUPREE!
