I am so proud to announce my new Red Apple Audio Networks radio show, “Rockin’ the Decades.” My first show, we are rockin’ the ’60s—a decade that produced more legends than any in the last seven decades: Starting with my call in guest BRENDA LEE who will be Rockin around the Decades with me as we play the music that these 60’s Legends gave us … Like the Legendary BEATLES, The ROLLING STONES, THE BEACH BOYS, LED ZEPPLIN, STEVIE WONDER, DIANA ROSS, and continued on with the King of Country Soul, RAY CHARLES, the King of Song… and singers… and Chairman of the Board, FRANK SINATRA, who by the way continued to have huge hit records in this incredible decade, the ’60s!! A decade of hits and legends. And let me remind you that Calling in this week on my show, is an artist who has kept America not only the decade we rock in, the ’60s, but she kept America “rockin’ around the Christmas tree” for decade after decade: the great BRENDA LEE! And then even the King of Rock and Roll came into the ’60s with hits like “It’s Now or Never.” Yes, the ’60s continued to be the decade that gave us ELVIS and his huge hits. Yes, the King of Rock and Roll kept rockin’ in that decade of the 1960s.
And honestly, folks, I’m proud to have had my first hit way back in 1961, and it was written by CAROLE KING and her husband, GERRY GOFFIN: “Halfway to Paradise,” which, by the way, opens my first “Rockin’ the Decades” weekly radio show.
